By The Sri Lanka Karate-Do Team has been deported after having their visas canceled.
The reason for deportation is not known but the
Sri Lanka’s Department of Sports Development has decided to launch an inquiry as it is believed that visas had been canceled due to a conflict between a third party and the current board of the Karate-Do Federation. However, entry clearance into a country is the right of immigration and little could be done on refusals of this kind of visit.
The team is asking for a protest against the action as they feel that they were discriminated against.
The National Karate-do team was seeking entry clearance at the Heathrow Airport in England to participate in the Commonwealth Karate Championships 2022
