SL legends record another victory at Road Safety World Series T20

Sri Lanka legends led by Tilakaratne Dilshan beat South Africa Legends by 9 wickets today, in the Road Safety World Series T20, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.

South Africa Legends were all out for 89 in 18.5 overs and Sri Lanka scored 89/10 (92/1 (13.2 ov) thereby beating their rivals by nine wickets.

Sri Lanka Legends won the toss and decided to bowl against South Africa Legends .

Andrew Puttick top scored with 39 followed by Zander de Bruyn (15) who were the only to enter double figures.

Sri Lanka legends used six bowlers – Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dhammika Prasad, Rangana Herath, Sanath Jayasuriya and Ajantha Mendis – who all took wickets.

The Fall of wickets for South Africa Legends were as follows; 1-0 (Alviro Petersen – 0.1 ov), 2-6 (Loots Bosman – 1.6 ov), 3-12 (Morne van Wyk – 3.6 ov), 4-43 (Zander de Bruyn – 8.3 ov), 5-62 (Justin Kemp – 11.2 ov), 6-76 (Andrew Puttick – 12.6 ov), 7-76 (Jonty Rhodes – 13.1 ov), 8-80 (Thandi Tshabalala – 14.6 ov), 9-87 (Garnett Kruger – 17.2 ov), 10-89 (Makhaya Ntini – 18.5 ov)

In reply, Sri Lanka Legends cantered to a 9 wicket win with Tillakaratne Dilshan 50* and Upul Tharanga 37* scoring the runs. Garnett Kruger took the only wicket for South Africa Legends. The only wicket to fall was that was of Sanath Jayasuriya for eight.
