The implementation of the Singaporean act in Sri Lanka has been largely been criticized by social media activists in SriLanka The President said that although there are laws in Sri Lanka for newspapers and electronic media, there is no such legal framework for the regulation of social media in the country and Singapore’s act needs to be studied for possible implementation.
