By President Ranil Wickramasinghe and former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake together with the founder of Umandawa, Siri Samantha Bhadra Thero to discuss a new ‘grow more food ‘ plan.
The controversial Siri Samantha Bhadra thero is considered very much an ‘out-of-the-box thinker who has set up the Umandawa farming community in Malsiripura.
Recently Umandawa was attacked by the Aragalaya protesters saying that there was a misuse of state funds at the temple-based farm.
President Ranil Wickramasinghe, who went to Umandawa Universal Village with Mr. Ravi Karunanayake, has had a lengthy discussion with the thero and a new plan is to be announced soon.
