A large number of journalist, relatives and friends of Lasaantha Wickramatunga , and civil activist gathered in front of the Attorney Generals Department to protest the reported notification to courts not to further continue with chargers agents suspects of the Lasantha Wickramatunga case.
The journalist said that it is the responsibility of the attorney General to present himself for a media conference to answer questions regarding the release of suspects.
Meanwhile the President has summoned the Attorney General for a meting to disscuss the matter .
Lasantha Wickramatunga’s daughter Ahimsa Wickramatunga has written to Prim Minister Harini Amarasuriya calling for the impeachment of the Attorney General.
