TikTok viewers in Sri Lanka are worried if the popular social medi platform will be banned here too.
India banned the social medial platform and now Pakistan has done the same.
There have been many instances in Sri Lanka where objectionable material has been uploaded.
The Peshawar High Court ordered a ban on TikTok over “immoral and objectionable” content on the platform.
“TikTok videos are peddling vulgarity in society,” said chief justice Qaiser Rashid Khan, adding that the app should be banned until it complies with authorities.
TikTok owned by Chinese company ByteDance has been a platform enjoyed by many fun loving surfers and a pot of gold for some money makers.
