Dhanushka received bail from the Sydney Downing Centre Local Court and was charged with four counts of sexual intercourse without consent. He may have to face a lengthy legal battle as much of the information presented to courts is very much disputed According to police, Gunathilaka then ignored the woman’s request to “take it slow” and what ‘take it slow ‘in intimate situation is very much debatable and open to interpretation.
It is also not clear if Dhanushka used a condom for sex or not, however a condom was found near the bed.
“He protested (to use a condom), but eventually agreed,” police documents tendered to the court stated.
The court heard the woman later found the condom on the floor beside the bed.
