Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunga has sent shockwaves through the cricketing world by threatening to disclose details about individuals allegedly involved in a plot with India, which he claims led to the decline of cricket in Sri Lanka.
Ranatunga made these incendiary remarks during the opening ceremony of the Lawyers Cricket World Cup at the P. Saravanamuttu International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. The tournament, featuring teams from 10 Commonwealth countries, is set to take place in Sri Lanka from December 29 to January 06, 2024.
